Something To Think About...
|
Recently during the music portion of our worship, we included some scriptures to help us focus
on what we were singing, and who we were singing to. Below are those scriptures. Please take the time to read them, and meditate on them, as you worship God throughout your day.
Revelation 4:8
The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:
"Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!"
Revelation 5:11-12
Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice:
"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!" |
Our Goal
|
| As Christians, the time we spend corporately singing to our Holy and Loving God is a very precious time. It ranges from joyfully singing praises to Him, to humbly and gratefully pondering on His unmatched grace. Many churches in our culture today will use this time to target hearts and play on emotions, however that is not our goal. At Grace, we first and foremost want the words we are singing to be biblically accurate, for if the words we are singing do not line up with the Word God has given us, then what God are we worshiping? As we sing truth our hearts are then engaged in true worship to God. |
Our Style
|
| At Grace, the music portion of our worship consists of both hymns and contemporary worship songs. We understand that music styles are more of a preference, so we spend most of our time focusing on the truth's we are singing. Below are some of the recent songs we have been singing together: |
